1. Overview
Metal Forge is a multi-genre AI music prompt generation suite available on web and Android. This policy outlines how your data is collected, used, and protected when you use our application.
2. Information We Process
- User Inputs: Text entered into style, theme, and song title fields is transmitted securely to our backend for AI prompt processing. This data is not stored permanently.
- Generated Outputs: Lyrics, style tags, and album artwork are generated on-demand and delivered to your session. Generated images are not retained on our servers after delivery.
- Session Preferences: UI theme selection is stored locally in your browser via localStorage. No personal information is included.
- Uploaded Images: Images submitted via the Visceral Vision feature are processed transiently for style extraction and are not stored or used for training.
3. Security
All communications between the Metal Forge application and our backend are encrypted via HTTPS. API keys and credentials are secured as server-side environment variables and are never exposed to the client. We leverage Vercel Edge infrastructure for all serverless processing.
4. Data Deletion & Control
Metal Forge does not maintain a persistent user database at this time. You retain full control over your session data. To remove locally stored preferences, clear your browser cache or app storage. Uninstalling the Android application removes all locally stored session data.

5. Third-Party Services
Metal Forge integrates the following third-party services to deliver its core functionality:
- Vercel: Hosting and serverless edge function infrastructure.
- Google Gemini API: Powers AI text generation (lyrics, style prompts) and AI album artwork image generation.
- Google Firebase: Planned for future authentication and cross-platform session management.

6. Children's Privacy
Metal Forge is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our application, please contact us immediately.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy as the application evolves — particularly as authentication and subscription features are introduced. Changes will be reflected with an updated effective date.
